Remarks - Nice day. Went to the 2 islands south on NYC Harbor by Veranzanno Narrows Bridge, Swinburne and Hoffman. The islands were used for quarantine purposes years ago and are now abandoned. Unable to land there because the area around both islands were built up with boulders to reduce erosion. The piers were useless. Does not look like a good place to anchor for holiday weekend of July 4th. Water was pretty rough on all sides of island. We circled Swinburne and there were run down buildings on it. Hoffman had nothing we could see but tall grass. Weather was very clear better that 15 miles visibility. Got close to Brooklyn shore. All systems on boat worked well. First time out with Humminbird 100 SX Worked well. Keyport is still a hard place to launch and retrieve boat. Winds were from 5 -15knots. Seas had swells to 1-2'.
