Remarks - Slept well overnight. Woke about 7:00 and were underway by 8am. Sailed down to Manahawkin Bridge, NJ. Went under with sail power only. Wind was 15-20 knots. No problems clearing bridge. Sailed along shore line on Long Beach Island and ICW. Stopped about 11am at public launch area at Beach Haven and had lunch on shore overlooking marina and bay. I noticed a Coast Guardsman looking at boat with a clipboard were we were docked. When I got back to boat he was inspecting another boat. We departed about 12:30 for Trixies. When we got about 200 ft away, we noticed the Coast Guardsman looking around for us where we were docked. I guess we were next on his list. Oh well, maybe next time buddy! We were able to see Atlantic City skyline clearly from middle of the bay. Visibility was unlimited. Another goal to reach! Winds died off for the remainder of day never getting about 10 knots and mostly around 5 knots. Ended up power sailing 1/2 of route. Returned to Trixies about 7:30pm. Lost crank for winch about 6pm. The crank was suppose to float, which it did, but by the time we got back around to pick it up, it was hit by a power boat and sunk! Battery held up very well for entire 2 day trip. We used the depth finder the entire time, and used navigation lights for 3 hours, anchor light all night, and cabin light on and off. Anchor light was low wattage, 1 watt type. All other systems on boat worked well. Great trip. We will do it again.
