Remarks - Weather started out ok. Partly sunny and light winds when we arrived at Marina. As soon as we got on the water winds increased to 15-20 knots. We sailed over to Island Beach State Park and anchored off shore about 500 feet and had lunch and did some swimming. I was hoping for the front to move through and the winds to die down some. The winds did not decrease, in fact they increased. We sailed back across and the winds picked up to 25-30+knots. We used main sail only throughout the day because of these high winds. Got back across and motored back to marina. Motor worked great going directly into this wind and had a pretty heavy load with 6 people on board. We were able to maintain 3-4 knots. We had swells up to 3 feet at times with white caps all over. Only about 3 other boats on the water at the time. Visibility was better than 5 miles through out the day. All boat systems worked fine except back stay is frayed and will need replacement. Boat made through very heavy seas without problems. Sometimes the bow went completely under water in swells and had no problems with handling. Everyone on deck was wet from all the wave action.
